Jetpak's commitment to UN Global Compact
Jetpak joined the UN Global Compact in May 2021 and is making the Global Compact and it's principles an integral part of the business strategy, day-to-day operations, and organizational structure.
The UN Global Compact is a voluntary initiative to promote sustainable development and good corporate citizenship.
It is based on ten principles that are derived from:
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.'
The Ten principles have been further developed into to 17 different sustainable development goals. The goals with their 169 individual targets balance the economic, social and ecological dimensions of sustainable development, and place the fight against poverty and sustainable development on the same agenda for the first time.
Jetpak has selected four out of these 17 sustainable development goals to improve on. Climate action, reduced inequalities, decent work and economic growth as well as partnership for the goals.
