Safely delivered to the Arctic permafrost

Recently, Jetpak Norway assisted with the transport of seed samples from the Australian Pastures Genebank to NordGen in Svalbard – for safe storage inside the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, the world’s largest secure seed repository.

The shipment was delivered from Oslo Airport to Longyearbyen and placed inside the vault, which only opens at specific times of the year. With limited delivery windows and challenging Arctic conditions, precise timing was essential.

For many years, Jetpak has supported NordGen and gene banks around the world with time-critical transports to Svalbard, helping safeguard global agricultural diversity for future generations.
